Bob was my hockey and baseball mentor from 1939 to 1949. He introduced me to my best friend, Lloyd Gerhart, and encouraged us to play baseball and hockey. Not a day went by where bob would stop delivering mail and play a few minutes with us on our outdoor rink. He often transported us to Spring Lake to play hockey with the seniors on the frozen Lake. Almost like a big brother.
RIP Bob

Sending our most sincere sympathy to the family of Bob Hanrahan. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word.
We have such warm memories of Bob, Dad (Tony), and Calvin golfing together and just enjoying the good life. Bob used to call them “The Three Musketeers”! Well, they are all together again. “One for all and all for one”
Rest In Peace my friend. John & Toni (Galasso) Nielson

On behalf of the Daysland Northstars we send our condolences to Bobs family and friends. Bob was part of our Northstar family as a player and fan. He was always in the room before games for pep talks and after games to talk about the win or let us know we would get them next time, or to take his spot right near the front for team pictures. We are going to miss you Bob

Writing on behalf of Ken and Anne Kang;
They wish to send their sincerest condolences to Bob's family and friends and they are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers. Daysland and the friends they made there holds a special place in their hearts; Ken in particular very much misses the golf course and the drop-in centre. He enjoyed so many days golfing with Bob, Tony, and Calvin and then grabbing a bite to eat at the club house (he still refers to a grilled cheese sandwich with minced onion, as Tony's Special). Even after moving to Coronation; Bob and the guys would all hop into Bob's RV and come down for boy's golf and bbq weekends as often as they could (Anne could never believe the amount of steak and salad they could all pack away after the many rounds of golf and the funniest thing she remembers Bob telling her was that he actually didn't really like shrimp but once told Norma that it was good and she kept serving it to him because he didn't have the hear to tell her otherwise!) Only the fondest of memories of their time spent with Bob; cherished friend. Rest in peace.

To all of Bobs families we offer our sincere condolences. You could say many things about our neighbor of 58 years. But in short words he was the best. Both Bob and Norma were the cornerstone on our block. The best was our fire department went to a fire competition in Sherwood Park. Our men and our ladies beat Sherwood Park. Esso. Refinery and Strathcona Refinery. Bob and Norma were the Captains. Thanks Bob and Norma. Many many great memories. Ron and Eilene Damberger
