Alfred was born at home on November 16th, 1939. Alfred was the youngest of four boys born to Leighton and Alma Gibson. He lived on the farm and attended Holden School. He was an active member of the Holden Lutheran Church and Holden 4-H Beef Club.
Alfred married Eva Ewert on December 15th, 1973. He took great pleasure in being her husband. Alfred loved, cherished, cared, and doted on her dearly. They lived on the family farm until 1980, when he took a job with the Village of Holden Public Works. They bought a house in town and settled in nicely enjoying the community.
His passions in life were God, Eva, music, gardening, baking, the Bruce Stampede, Holden Slough Sharks, cards, and horseshoes.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother Charles; and sister-in-law Betty.
He leaves to mourn his wife Eva; brothers Art Gibson and David (Margaret) Gibson; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
We are so blessed to have had him in our lives as he was such a generous, gracious, loving and faithful man. Always with a smile on his face and famous for saying “have a good day!”
