Cathy & family,
We, too, are saddened and dismayed that a very fine man, and one of the really "good guys" is no longer
among us.
Gerry's footprints and acute mind heralded good things wherever he went.
A committed community builder, Gerry had an infectious smile and keen sense of humour.
He certainly can be deemed a "Renaissance" man in light of the sciences and arts he cultivated..... business,
engines, gardening, etc.
We hold Cathy and family in high regard.
Respectfully and with much care,
Steve & Peg Shuman

As a child, visiting Canada and Uncle Gerry always meant that we were in for a good time. He always had a new hobby to share, and I have many fond memories of listening to him educate us like the docent of a museum on his newest passions - be they showing beagles, collecting farm engines, or growing shallots. I will miss groaning at his latest joke, or marveling at a childhood story of growing up on the farm - one that usually involved mischief, humor and unabashed peril. Gerry and I shared an appreciation of cooking, and for the last several years we had an ongoing text thread showing off our garden hauls and subsequent preserving projects. Love to you Cathy, Brock and Scott - Gerry made a lasting imprint on my heart that I will never forget.

Gerry was a good neighbor to all he met. He took time to listen to one's story, while reflectively adding a few gems of his own words of wisdom. We were blessed to share with Gerry his love of gardening, the beauty of the out of doors and a deeply mutual love for our Community of Camrose. Gerry was truly a singular gentleman of integrity whom one could trust implicitly --- a man of his word! We will miss our Country O encounters & will treasure those memories forever in our hearts!
Love & prayers,
Doug & Mary Tien
