Lorraine and family, David and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. He was a kind and gentle man, teaching me to drive a school bus, driving a bus load to Whitecourt for a wonderful visit and seeing you both at Southern Gospel music concerts. He always had a chuckle and smile. These are all great memories. He will be greatly missed.
Praying that God’s Peace and Comfort surrounds you today and in all the days to come.
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted: He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Ps 34:18

Dear Loraine,
As a family, we humbly and respectfully take this moment to express our deepest and sincerest condolence to you and your family for the sudden and unexpected passing on of Dave your dearest husband.
We recently started connecting more closely with you and Dave because of your demonstrated love for each and for Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour and your ministry within the Church.
We found Dave to be an amazing human being who oozed a Godly Warmth and a genuine commitment to Godly relationships.
It is primarily because of Dave’s good character and his Godly attributes that his passing has left each one of us in a state of shock. We are deeply saddened and find ourselves in a state of unbelief that he is no longer with us.
As believers, we give thanks to God that we can draw strength and comfort from his written word as follows :
Psalm 34 verse 18 (NIV)
The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit
Psalm 116 verse 15 (NIV)
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.
1Thessalonians 4 verses 13 to 18
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
May you and your dear family draw strength from this word of God which we share with much love and prayers from our hearts for you,

Lorraine,Marlie,Kent and families, so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. We have many wonderful memories of Dave with always a smile on his face and an encouraging word and an infectious laugh.
