So sad to hear about this. Thinking of you Carol and kids.
Gord was a great addition to our Red Deer paddling club. He packed a lot of trips into his last years and so glad he did.

Gord was such a great guy to have on canoe trips. Not just because he got up early to make a pot of coffee for everyone and shared his Scotch in the evening. He often talked about how happy he was with his family and his life. It was great to know him. He will certainly be missed.

I, as are many Northwest Voyageurs who had the pleasure of knowing or even better, having paddled with Gord are saddened by his passing and offer our condolences. First to rise, every morning Gord had a welcomed fresh brewed coffee ready to start everyone’s day. His wide ranging knowledge and interests, depth of practical experience and sense of humour were wonderful contributions to both trips and our club. I have rich memories from the wilderness trips we paddled. Gord will be missed.

I have many fond memories of Gord… one in particular, he hauled a couple canoes down to Big Knife Park on the Battle River one day so Cindy and I and our kids could go canoeing with him. Such a swell guy, he’ll be greatly missed. Condolences to Carol and family.

I have so many wonderful memories of Gord through my childhood. So many visits around the kitchen table at Moms. My most recent memory is when Gord stopped in for a visit last winter. We had not seen each other for a long time but picked up as though it was yesterday. Such a great visit and one I will always be thankful for. He was absolutely the kindest of men. Carol, I send you strength through this most difficult time. Much love from your cousin Shelly

Dear Carol and families. Hugs and condolences to all of you. Gord was a one of a kind true gentleman. One cannot say enough about the contributions he has made to Daysland and area. His service to Canada is well noted in his serving with the Legion. Many miles of new rivers under his canoe as he embraced nature and fellowship. A fellow always willing to help.
