Just heard the news this morning from Rocky German. I’m saddened to say the least. Jim was a good man, always told a story and him and Merle gave the best hugs. You will be missed my friend rest easy

My deepest condolences to entire Wieler’s family for their enormous loss. It was my privilege to met Jimmy in 2008 at Camrose plant and briefly work with him on a few occasions. I will always remember the first time we met, because at that time, he worked for ShawCor longer than I lived. In Shaw family, Jimmy will always be remembered as a man of great integrity and commitment. Wealth of knowledge and experience that he has shared with younger generations of pipe coaters is the greatest legacy that will stay with us for many years. Rests in pieces my friend..

I’ve known Jim in one way or another for most of my life going back to the mid 70’s as our next door neighbor in Leduc. We eventually worked in conjunction with each other in the pipe industry. He was always a great guy to chat with and a complete expert in his field with great integrity!! I enjoyed our conversations and his recounts of the old Caledonia Park days. My condolences to all of his family. He treated me well. A testament to his character.

Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Worked with Jim for 10 years in Camrose and he was a good man and always loved listening to his stories and learning from him. Jim will be missed for sure. We share the same birthday and will always raise a toast to Jim on May 25th!

My condolences to the entire Wieler Family on the passing of Jim. I had the pleasure of working with Jim (or Wheels as his Shaw Pipe family called him) for over 25 years in both Edmonton and Regina. He was a great teacher, mentor and friend. I will miss the yearly visits we continued to have during Jim’s retirement, as Jim would always stop in Regina on his way to Manitoba to catch me up on all the goings on.
Rest in peace Jim

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Jim. He was my brother-in-law but really he was more like a big brother. He was always there to lend a hand, tutoring me or helping me with countless moves. He was dedicated to his work and his family, you knew you could always count on him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Rest in peace Jim, Colleen Hazzard (Phillips)
I will always remember him fondly
