Please accept my sincerest condolences, Anne was the closest thing us Cross kids had to an auntie or a grandma who lived on the next farm site! We all adored her soft-spoken yet firm or blunt perspective!
I have lots of memories of doing chickens at your place with Annelise Thomsen and some of her kids, Mom and some of us, and you all.
I have memories of visiting your mom and dad for supper and sitting in the living room with Duster and Allyaon watching TV while the adults visit.
So many memories of gardening with mom and Anne. The two of them playing that game where one brings a fully prepared meal for the other and they can never pay each other back! We benefited from the amazing homemade pyroghy and cabbage rolls, jams, soups, and canned chicken oh man Dad loved all the homemade goodies!
I remember we got a paper lunch bag full of treats for Halloween including homemade popcorn balls!
I went to church with those two ladies and towered over them at 5'4 while they sang hymns at their top volume beside me! It broke my heart at Mom's graveside when Anne presented her with a purse full of the things Mom would need for her journey and she lowered Mom's urn down and said Rest now Mother!!
I miss all of that and know that the Cross family all Grieve with you!!

To all of Anne’s families we offer our sincere condolences. Anne was one of the finest people you could ever meet. She new her chickens and everything else about the farm. Anne and Steve were what makes Alberta and Canada strong and vibrant. The salt of the earth. She was a person of strong will and character. Will miss her innocent little smile. Love and hugs to all.
