Obituary of Mildred Aileen Fuller

Mildred Aileen Fuller

(February 18, 1931 - November 14, 2023)

Mildred was born on February 18, 1931, in Dinant (north of Camrose) on the family farm to Henry and Florence Young.  She went to the Throndson School for eight years and Dinant School for one year. After graduation, she helped out on the family farm.

In August 1949, at the Blue Room Café, Mildred caught Reg Fuller’s eye, which led to marriage on Thursday, November 23, 1950, at the United Church in Camrose. They settled on the Fuller family farm west of Duhamel. To this marriage, six children were born.

Mildred loved being a farmer’s wife and often held down the farm when Reg was away helping others. She was an active member of the Verdon Sunshine Club. Mildred and Reg loved to dance and play cards.
After Reg’s passing in 1987, Mildred stayed on the farm until 1991 when she moved into Camrose. This is where she became an avid golfer.

Mildred was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mildred passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, peacefully surrounded by her children.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Reg Fuller; daughter Marlene Van Bruggen; and son-in-law Ferd Thompson.

Left to cherish in her memory are her children Aileen (Keith) Kennedy of Camrose, Christine Thompson of Wetaskiwin, Rosanne (Rodney) Anderson of Kelsey, Robert Fuller of Edmonton, Pauline (Rod) Mackowosky of Camrose, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

Mom taught us everything except how to live without her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday,  November 23, 2023, from the Burgar Memorial Chapel, 4817 - 51 Avenue Camrose officiated by Rev. Brian Hunter.
