Hi Valerie sure miss you. My computer is broken and you are not here to help me like you always are. You were always here for me. I remember a few days before your Birthday you feel down and could not get up. You called me and I came over and got you up, did your dishes. We had a wonderful talk.I felt so appreciated that you called me to help you. I never new what a quality person you were tell I saw the video of you at your Funeral. You were so special. Mrs. Mallas was a great music teacher! She inspired me to sing and always contribute and try out for our school’s Christmas concerts. She was a pleasant, funny, and unique character.
My favourite memory is when we got to pick a prize from her truck of goodies and when we got our Mallas Money stamped in music class. She will be cherished in our hearts and made a huge impact on many children’s lives!
I’m sending my prayers to the family and am at peace knowing she can rest well. Let’s keep her memory alive!

My deepest condolences to Valerie’s loved ones, friends and family. So sorry we missed the service and notice. Valerie was a blessing and joy to her students. Thank you for all your wonderful music lessons. So many special memories in elementary school where she taught our children.

My deepest sympathy to Valerie’s family.
Valerie and I attended Hay Lakes School together from Grade 1-12 and she was a very kind and caring school friend to me. She gave me a hobo money bank for one of my early childhood birthdays that we celebrated together and I still have it and think of her fondly when I pass by it.
