Katherine had a profoundly positive influence on my life. She was my voice teacher and sponsor for RCIA in Grande Prairie. After she moved back to Camrose we lost touch but as a teenager and young adult she taught me me so much about humility, inner strength, faithfulness, kindness, wit and the joy of a dry sense of humour. I heard at mass today that she had passed on. I’m so sorry for this unimaginable loss you must be feeling, but also, I feel grateful that she is no longer suffering from the awfulness of M.S. and the freedom it robbed from her. She was truly my favourite teacher and I’m so lucky to have known her. Blessings and prayers to her and her family.

I knew Katherine quite well, as both our families attended Bethel Lutheran Church, where she was a mainstay of the congregation and its excellent music program. My children also learned music from her, both in Bethel's children's choir and her Music with Children classes. She was a loving, engaging, and talented person. I offer my deepest condolences to Nathan, Kimberley, and all of Katherine's family and friends.
