I will miss my uncle tremendously!
Lawrence (Sid) introduced me to so many wonderful things like NCAA football and basketball, golf, current events, the NFL. All of this in spite of his uncanny loyalty to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Argonauts and Blue Jays.
I very much looked forward to our weekly chats about what was happening in his world in Camrose, updates on Jim and Duffy. We'd chat about the latest draft in the NFL and NHL, how over priced these donkeys are and how spoiled. "Not like back in the day!"
Lawrence, we enjoyed you so very much when you joined us at our dinner table, too. Many a holiday / festive meal you shared with us. We were better for having you at our table, my uncle.
You will be missed, but know you left a positive mark on my life and the lives of my family.
To all of Sid's family and friends, may God comfort you in your time of sorrow and fill you with the warmth of the memories you had with Sid.
Until we see each other again, my uncle!
