Obituary of Ben Gagnon
Bernard "Ben" Lawrence Gagnon
(June 21, 1944 - April 15, 2024)
Ben Gagnon was born in Lac La Biche, Alberta on June 21st, 1944. Ben was the third child born to Edward and Dellamen Gagnon.
Ben met Marilyn Miles in 1965 and they were married on June 11, 1966.
As a jack of all trades, Ben was kept busy. His career with United Grain Growers and United Feed took him on a journey all over Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Ben enjoyed being a father to his three sons, and as they got older, he kept busy with them playing sports such as baseball and hockey.
Ben’s health started failing in the last three years, and then on April 15th, 2023, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He faced that battle with courage and strength.
At St. Mary’s hospital, Camrose Alberta on April 15th, 2024, surrounded by his family, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren, he passed away with dignity.
Ben was predeceased by his parents; his son Darren; two brothers; and one sister.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marilyn; his son’s Dean (Katherine) and Cory (Paula); daughter-in-law Sonja; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his two sisters Noella and Jeanette (Marcel); and numerous nieces and nephews.
We know Ben would be as pleased and grateful as his family is, that you are joined in this celebration of his life.

A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from the CityLights Church, 4920 48 Street Camrose officiated by Rev. Brian Hunter. The service was livestreamed and can be viewed at the following link: CityLights Church.
