Arthur Lawrence Rempel was born on November 4th, 1947 to Peter and Annie Rempel at Herbert, Saskatchewan. He was born into a home where Christ was loved and taught. He made a personal commitment to Christ at an early age. Arthur was the middle of seven children. At the age of 10 Arthur's family moved to Salmon Arm, B.C.. Arthur graduated from Full Gospel Bible Institute in Eston, Saskatchewan, he loved to study his Bible and really enjoyed his school years. He loved music and played several instruments. He developed this love at a very early age. He also loved to read and spent many hours reading the Bible. Arthur worked as a rural mail carrier, helping his parents and took over the job when they passed away. He spent fourteen years at this job. In 1989, Arthur relocated to Camrose where he worked for a water bottling company, Safeway, and Tim Hortons. He enjoyed his friends and was faithful in keeping in touch with them. Arthur passed away in his home on September 21, 2014. He left behind six siblings; Dorothy Smith of Rockford, Illinois, Rudy Rempel of Three Hills, Alberta, Eleanora Skeldon of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Viola (Roger) Freer of Prince George, B.C., Hilder Rempel of Willow River, B.C., Gerald (Judy) Rempel of Falkland, B.C.. He also leaves behind fourteen nephews and nieces. Arthur, thank you for being such an important part of our lives. We love you. A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday September 29, 2014 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Seth Bussey officiating. Cremation has taken place. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to World Vision of Canada, or to the Billy Graham Association.
