Edna Kathleen Heck of Daysland, formerly of Heisler, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the age of 78 years.
Edna was born in Heisler on March 5, 1936 to Otto and Mabel Wolbeck. She passed away peacefully on October 4, 2014 at the age of 78 with her loving Family by her side.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years George; children Shauna Heck, Robert (Marcia) Heck, Neil (Jolene) Heck; and grandchildren Cole, Gabby and Roan. Edna was the second of eight children in her family: Clifford (Marlene) Wolbeck, Geraldine Badry, Donnie (Doreen) Wolbeck, Larry (Norma) Wolbeck, Connie Orr, Doug (Ann) Wolbeck, Brian (Debbie) Wolbeck.
She was predeceased by her parents Otto and Mabel Wolbeck; father and mother-in-law John and Genevieve Heck; brothers-in-law Stan Badry, James Orr, Marvin Lohner; and sister-in-law Eileen Heck.
Edna was a homemaker and farmed for the majority of her life with George. They moved into Daysland in 1983 where she cleaned the school for several years along with her endless duties of keeping the household together. Her passion for being in the kitchen cooking, baking and canning was a true enjoyment of hers knowing others could enjoy her hard work more than she, is what made her so happy. Some of her other past times were gardening, reading and keeping up with the activities of her children and grandchildren. Edna's love for family and friends along with her strong faith in God are truly memories we will cherish dear to our hearts forever.
