Treasured moments of a favourite uncle come in the simplest actions; baking a carrot cake for you to enjoy during your afternoon tea times in Daysland, spending time at my parents' home mere hours after Nanee passed on, your concern for me when I relocated to BC, and your well wishes for me as the years went by. You will be dearly missed, Uncle Harry, but as I have done with my father, I'll take comfort in the crux of the Bhagavad-Gita: your soul is an eternal energy. Om Bhuh Bhuvah Svah Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi Dhiyo Yo nah Prachodayat Om, shani shanti shanti, Om.

In Memoriam. Haresh Chandra Narine February23, 1937--Nov6, 2014 By Ongkar Narayan. One of his many appreciative brother-in-law. It was my privilege to meet him, When he was sixteen; And ever a joy, To meet him again and again. He was steadfast and humble, Caring and true; He sought only to give, To benefit you and me. He shared joys, Not pains nor sorrows; Unto the end of his earthly stay, He earned and he gave. He is no longer with us in person, He lives in our thankful hearts; Pleasant memories of him of him will soothe, Now and forever more. Rest in peace. Pax. Non no is;te deum . Ram, Ram,Sita; Ram.

Harish Narine was my uncle. He was my mother's brother. Although we seldom got together at family gatherings (due to the fact that his family lived far from us); we had enjoyed our family get togethers. Memories to cherish and last for a lifetime. Alita Jayesh Malika and Nikhil

Mr. Narine was my high school chemistry teacher in Daysland, Alberta. He was a great teacher, and a kind and generous person. During my high school years I also got to know his wife and children, and even babysat his kids when they were small! I was fortunate enough to know him as an adult, too, and I always enjoyed our visits and all the stories he told about his life. Mr. Narine was a well loved, well respected gentleman and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. My deepest condolences to his children and family.

I had the pleasure of caring for Mr. Nadine during my time as a nursing student at the U of A. He was a wonderful man, sweet and polite despite everything he as going through. He spoke lovingly and highly of his children and his wife, told me about his travels and education. I am truly heartbroken for his loss, and grateful to have met him
