I work at the Fitness Centre and only knew John from the chats we had when he came to work out there (Megan too). He seemed like such a kind and gentle soul. I am very saddened to hear of his passing and pray God's comfort and strength for his family and for Megan. He truly was an example of how we can touch the people around us in a simple yet meaningful way through kindness and thoughtfulness. I will miss him.

John was one of the first friends I made at Augustana, and one of the kindest and funniest people I've ever known - an all around good person. I feel privileged to have counted him among my friends, even when distance made my visits to Camrose more sporadic. I am keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers today, as well as his many friends who are hurting. We are so sorry to hear about your tremendous loss. I remember John as such a kind and thoughtful person. I really enjoyed his sense of humour in class. We had lots of laughs together. I remember how nervous he said he was prior to MC'ing Grad. He rose to the occasion so well and did a tremendous job.
