Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Leslie Muhlbach of Camrose, formerly of Big Valley, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the age of 32 years. John was born in Stettler on July 14, 1982 to his loving parents Leslie and Ann Muhlbach. He grew up on a farm just outside Big Valley; a community that supported him his whole life. John often talked about his good neighbors from back home, even his good dog, Pepper. Life on the farm brought closeness to his family, especially his sister Karen. John came to Camrose to attend Augustana and its here he met the love of his life, Meg Latimer. He graduated proudly with a degree in psychology. He married Meg on September 1, 2006. They quickly settled into life in Camrose, and tried to travel often. John's favorite vacation memories included Disneyland at Christmas, a Phoenix Suns game, and meeting Spiderman. John had a passion for food, friends and fun. John touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his genuine respect, caring, and unconditional kindness. No one will ever think more about the happiness of others than our dear John. John will be remembered fondly by his wife Megan; parents Leslie and Ann Muhlbach of Big Valley; mother and father-in-law Shirley and Doug Latimer of Ponoka; sister Karen (David) Zimmerman of Edmonton; brother-in-law Brent Latimer of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; grandmothers Lois Turville and Mary Muhlbach; as well as his aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers Harlen Turville and William 'Bill' Muhlbach. We would sincerely like to thank everyone who helped support John in his fight with cancer, especially his family. If you wish to make a donation in his name you can do so to Canadian Mental Health Association (4711-51st Ave, Camrose) where John was employed. A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from Camrose United Church with Rev. Liz Carter-Morgan officiating. Inurnment took place in the Stettler Cemetery.
