I was so sorry to hear of Auntie Katie's passing. I know time and distance have separated us but I do remember fondly the times we spent visiting as a kids. I was so glad to be able to see and chat with Auntie Katie at Auntie Anne's birthday. Sincere sympathy to all of the family.

Merv (and Marlene), Please accept our sincere condolences on our "earthly" loss of your Mom. Courage and strength are two very appropriate words to describe Kate (along with many more!). She always gave me that impression ... but she also gave me a very good sense of her humor and compassion. Qualities that you do not always see combined in an individual. She was not only a very easy person to visit with, but someone we looked forward to visit with. Our parents are all very SPECIAL to us, we did not choose them ... but they - through the blessings of God - chose us! And the sacrifices and unconditional love they bestowed on us (every day of their, and our lives) is priceless. An unpaid debt we will carry throughout our lives. We can never repay them ... but we can recognize that value by how we live and how they will want us to live out our days. Kate, and what she stood for, is forever part of our spirit. Love and prayers, Judith and Jim
