Obituary of David "Dave" Trautman

Dave was born February 1, 1968. He was the eighth and youngest child of Stan and Mary Trautman. He was educated, raised, and worked most of his life in the County of Camrose.
On June 2, 2007 he was married to his beloved wife Joy and became a wonderful father to Joy's children, Nathan and Shaylene. The four of them lived on Dave's home place, built a new house, and began a Purebred Black Angus cattle farm formally known as Battle T. Cattle Company.
Dave was well known throughout the community and loved by everyone surrounding him. His passion for the outdoors could be seen in every aspect of his life , especially in his love for hunting. Dave's passions included the family farm, his job at U.F.A. , and his love for cattle.
Dave passed away peacefully on December 11, 2015 at the age of 47 years. He is survived by Joy, his loving wife of eight years, and his two children, Nathan and Shaylene. He is also survived by his father Stan Trautman of Camrose; his siblings Dr. Allen (Geri) of Lethbridge, Carol (Don) Simpson of Camrose, Jane (Mike) Faught of Duhamel, Odean (Charlotte) of Duhamel, Tim (Chello) of Airdrie, Dan of Crossfield, Peggy (Bob) MacTaggart of Lacombe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his mother Mary Trautman.
A Prayer Vigil was held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2015 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. Interment has taken place in the Duhamel Cemetery.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Alberta Fish and Wildlife Association.
