I had the pleasure of working with Eleanor on the board of NeighborAid and also as a fellow volunteer. She was always a joy to work with and extremely good at soothing irate clients on the phone but she would also stand her ground when necessary. My thoughts are with her family.

Our deepest condolences to the family. I was born in Akividu where Ms. Stark was the nursing superintendent at Star of Hope Hospital. She gave me my first job and I will never forget the values she taught me. She instilled in me the dignity of labour, service to my fellow men and loving God and serving Him. My mother Ruth Abraham Nakka, staff nurse, worked with Ms. Stark and retired after approximately 40 years of service. We were very blessed to have Ms. Stark in our village as a missionary, preaching the gospel by word and deed. May she rest in peace till the Lord returns, and hear Him say " well done my child." The Nakka family is ever grateful for her sacrifice and dedication.

Dear Family of Eleanor Stark, it was my privilege and joy to live with Eleanor in Akividu, India, for 3 1/2 years. We had such happy days together, with Eleanor ministering as a nurse in our mission hospital, while I worked with the Bible Women and area churches. Eleanor had a special love for children, so in her time off nursing administration, she taught the local children songs and Scriptures and loved them very much. As you know, she had a great sense of humour, which I enjoyed. I remember also our Sunday afternoon walks by the canal with dear Dr. Janaki, and our 3 dogs! And of course, we strengthened each other through various difficult times Then back in Canada, we have enjoyed holidays together in Vancouver, Camrose, around Alberta and Ontario, and Toronto. I thank God for Eleanor's deep faith and her faithfulness to our Lord Jesus, and for her friendship over the years. And I want to express my loving sympathy to you all, and special thanks to Vi and Dwane for their loving care for Eleanor in these last years. In Resurrection Hope, Sandra Ricketts
