Eugene "Gene" Zimmerman of Camrose passed away Monday May 28, 2012 at the age of 84.
Gene will be remembered fondly by his wife Leonie; children Terry (Beth) Zimmerman of Edmonton, Lonnie (Angela) Zimmerman of Spruce Grove, Linda (Bob) Jason of Peace River; step-children Angela Tirs (Andy MacDonald), Robert (Denise) Tirs, Linda (Bob) Tirs, Anthony (Sylvia) Tirs, Melanie (Dallas) MacDougall; grand children Paul, Jeremy, Angela, Trevor, Lee-Ann, Joshua, Tristina, Misty, Dianna, Lonnie, Corey, Kalley, Paige, Tessa and Jordan; ten great-grandchildren; brothers Harold (Betty), Bob (Dot) and Allan (Betty); and sister Melba Cameron.
Gene was predeceased by his parents and two sisters Joyce and Gladys.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Eriksson officiating. Cremation has taken place.
If friends and family desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Lilac Cottage care of the Louise Jensen Centre 5400 46ave Camrose, Alberta T4V 4P8.
