Farming and cattle were his way of life, as well as hockey with his sons! Joe was involved with hockey as a manager and as an avid fan. His commitment made for extensive travel to rinks around Alberta. Joe and Darlene became “snowbirds” in 1989 travelling to Yuma where they made memories winter after winter until 2009. They retired to Camrose in 2001. The love of his life passed away in 2012 and Joe remained in their home until moving to Deer Meadows in 2014.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Curtis (Karen), Blair (Janet), Dale (Glenda); seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Joe was predeceased by his wife Darlene, his parents and siblings. Joe passed away on August 17th, 2018 at the age of 87.
